Congratulations to the ladies who entered the Royal Cheshire Show this year. Our entries were outstanding. A special mention goes to the co-operative entry which was a true stand out. The theme for this year was the Olympics (it being Olympic year) and the criteria was to theme the entry on a country participating in the Games. Hartford WI chose China. A lot of hard work & effort, not to mention imagination, had gone into the entry, an indication of the talented ladies within Hartford WI. Cheshire Show
Apart from the co-operative entry, some ladies also entered individual classes & a well deserved 3rd prize was awarded to one our members for her fantastically crafted throw which again showed the amazing talent within the group.
It is customary for the President of Hartford WI to award the Alison Lord Trophy at the show. This was presented by our current president to West Kirby WI.
A thank you is also extended to Hartford WI ladies who assisted in the refreshment tent – a lot of hungry & thirsty people were appreciative!
