Why not enter one of our Competitions ?

The Royce Cup and the New Zealand Spoon

These are awarded for entries into the regular competitions which occur every month apart from June (Members’ Evening), November (Annual Meeting) and December. Points are awarded for entering and for the winner in the following way – 1st 4 points; 2nd 3 points; 3rd 2 points and entering 1 point. At the end of the year the winner is whomever has accrued the most points. The Cup and Spoon are awarded at the Annual Meeting in November.

The Lil Moore Cup

This Cup is awarded annually for the winning entry in a rotating series of competitions over a four year period. Art, Cookery, Craft and Photography. The genre and specific topic are chosen by the committee and advertised in advance. This competition is judged by an external expert.

The Literary Award

This is awarded annually for the best entry in the competition – genre and topic to be decided by the
committee.

Bursaries

Three bursaries of at least £100 are awarded each year (the number and exact value to be agreed by the committee annually). The money can be used to support any educational course or class of your choice.
