We are a lively group of ladies who like to participate & meet up at various activities which include the following, (it does not always include cake !).
Darts Group – the darts group meet on a regular basis at a local hostelry to hone their skills.
Hartford Hikers – a monthly walk varying in length & location around the Cheshire countryside. It has of course been carefully planned to include a stop for refreshments! Hartford Hikers
Book Club – a monthly chat either meeting locally or via Zoom, the book club is very informal. You can talk about what you have enjoyed reading recently or just listen to what other people have enjoyed.
Art Group – Hartford WI Art Group has three terms each year, meeting weekly on Tuesdays. Ladies meet to try different areas of painting with watercolours and acrylics.
Hartford Hotshots – Walking netball is a slower version of netball ideal for ladies of all ages and abilities to exercise in a friendly group situation. A typical session will include a warm up, games and activities. Hartford Crafties – the craft group enjoys a range of different craft activities each month. Suggestions are always welcomed for new skills to learn and people to teach them! Hartford Crafties
History Girls – every month Hartford History Girls make a voyage of discovery into our past. They find out about places of interest and people who have led different lives to ourselves, in unimaginably different circumstances, how they survived and often how they made a significant difference for generations to come. In the past they have visited John Rylands’ Library in Manchester, the 1930’s Plaza Cinema in Stockport, St. George’s Quarter in Liverpool, the NT property Erddig near Wrexham, Tabley House, the Hartford Blue Plaque Walk, Moulton Church and Jodrell Bank.
Lunch Club – Ladies that lunch ! The lunch group enjoys a monthly meal together at one or another of the many excellent pubs and restaurants in the area.
Music Group – the music group meets on the second Friday of the month. A theme is chosen for each month with members bringing along a piece of music of their own choosing which matches the theme to play to the group.
